Korin Nolan

This is the go-to site for quick hacks, top tips, and bite-size information for women over forty struggling with the onset of mind and body changes happening at this stage of life!

Korin Nolan, leading Pilates expert and self-proclaimed health and wellness junkie, has spent years working with women and helping them transform their bodies with the benefits of Dynamic Pilates. Since entering her forties, (now forty five) like most women, Korin has experienced ‘the shift’, noticing her body was no longer responding to the same exercise and healthy eating hacks as in her thirties.

“Pilates is amazing and has so many benefits for women of all ages,”Korin says. “But on its own, it is not enough to deal with the body compositional changes we face post-forty. With the decline of muscle mass, we need to add progressive load to our muscles using heavy weights. We also need to tap into our MHR (maximum heart rate) zone to combat hormonal weight gain, so therefore, a combined approach to training is essential. My Strength HIIT Pilates classes on the mat cover all these areas and get the results women need.”

When it comes to food, a lot has changed over recent years thanks to scientific research. Just going on a ‘calorie deficit diet’ is no longer effective. It’s about what we eat, what time we eat it, and also what supplements can help us deal with hormonal changes.

Korin has been conducting her own research over the past few years and, through trial and error, has discovered what works for a perimenopausal body. She now subsequently advises the women in her life, clients, family and friends, as to what works and what not to waste money on!

Korin says, “I’m a firm believer that one size does not fit all, as we are all individuals. I encourage women to tune in and listen to their own bodies, as what works for me may not work for you. Investing in your physical and mental health, in my opinion, is the best investment you’ll ever make. Your health should be at the top of your priority list, so that you can live life to the fullest and enjoy the best version of yourself!”

In 2018 she co launched Dynamic Pilates TV which is an online Dynamic Pilates platform that hosts hundreds of on demand classes, taught by trainers from all over the globe. The app has grown over the last few years and has members in over 70 countries worldwide.

It was during lockdown that Korin launched her infamous Circuit Strength Pilates classes on the mat, making dynamic Pilates even more accessible for everyone at home. These workouts combine the benefits of both Pilates, strength training and HIIT to encompass the very best and most effective exercises to combat weight gain and increase strength.

These classes were met with a positive response from members who were noticing dramatic results in their body shapes.

Since turning forty herself (now 45) Korin has noticed the changes in her own body and through her own research, trial and error, she has developed her classes to bring women the most beneficial workout on the mat to help combat the signs of post forty weight gain and loss of muscle mass.

Korin has always had a strong interest in food and nutrition and in 2010 co-created a cook book by Absolute Press called How to Cook in High Heels! A recipe book for busy mums, with quick nutritious recipes. She enjoys quick, fuss free, healthy cooking and loves to share her recipes with friends, family and clients. Realising the nutritional requirements for the post forty era, Korin is excited to share her low calories, high protein, nutrient dense recipes to help other women just like herself.
